Overview

The audio project submission will be a professional quality Radio Drama centred around Lincoln, set in the second century A.D. (Lindum Colonia), involving a conversation between two roman soldiers and the characters they meet on their way.

Brief Synopsis:

Two soldiers from the ninth legion have just arrived in the Roman province of Brittania.

Through a mishap they ended up in the port of Iska instead of Camulodunom (the Provincial Capital)

From there they have to make their way to meet their legion in Eboracum on foot.
On the way they meet a Briton woman who was being attacked by Barbarians next to the Fosse way.
The woman, it turns out, doesn’t need rescuing, and by the time the Romans reach her, the barbarians are all dead.
The superior of the two soldiers offers to escort her to the nearest settlement but she refuses.
She never tells them who she is or where she’s going but she accompanies them to Lindum, the next stop on their path north.

Music will be composed to assist a soundscape and foley in ‘setting the scene’ of Lincoln in the second century.

The finished piece will be roughly 20 minutes long, with the possibility of it being split up in to smaller chapters.

My roles will be in the assisting of recording the piece, editing it together and writing the soundtrack as well as performing and editing in foley to add to the overall experience.
